is at it again! Two years ago, I found out about ADEEN and his soft plush behinds through Bidi
who I'm pretty sure was part of the Panty Drop. Even Azealia Banks was spotted wearing one of his CUNT snapbacks. Well, yesterday I was fortunate enough to be put on to his pop up shop at Community 54 NYC (which has locations in both New York City's LES and in Toronto, Canada) by LES native/spoken word artist/jewelry maker Aileen Velazquez
I'm not going to lie, if you weren't necessarily LOOKING for Community 54, you'd walk right by it. Low key spot, and the "lobby" part of the store is actually full of arcade games. One of them actually has the left-side panel cut out, and when you draw the curtain back, the actual store is located back there. Pretty cool, if anything, that's probably one of the most creative room separators I've ever seen.
AILEEN x ADEEN
If you're looking for old school Nike jackets and jerseys, do yourself a favour and come here. They've also got a quaint selection of jackets, Herschel bags, and other pieces. I'm pretty sure that if I can talk Alieen into moving weight for me, this is gonna have to be on the list of stops.
I have no idea how many pop up shoes ADEEN will be doing, but at this location mostly hats were available. As a Canadian, I obviously went for the beanie, but the corduroy snapbacks were a nice touch.
THANKS ADEEN AND COMMUNITY 54 FOR KEEPING MY HEAD WARM THIS WINTER!
