And we're off!
Luckily thanks to Siri and a lack of traffic, I was able to get Marta her bagels the morning of departure. It's been a rough day. The flight to Chicago was nice, and the man sitting next to me was quite pleasant. Taylor, if you see this, do the right thing and get a job and travel while you've got nothing holding you down! You'll kick yourself later if you don't do it now!
I'm very glad I layered up for the plane, because even though it was quite warm outside they keep the planes near freezing. Simplicity is key, most of this outfit actually is from the F21 basics. Black leggings, white tank top, white loose long-sleeved shirt, and my favourite tan cable knit sweater from years ago. Also, my Toms are dying, so I had to leave those behind, but picked up this pair of Vans
from Mile End Kicks
, and I'm in love. Easy, breathable, and the best part is that they're entirely rubber so you can a) wear them through security and b) throw them in the wash when need be. Considering that Korea and Japan are the lands of taking off your shoes when entering into special places, these are definitely an ideal buy.
However I'm not a fan of O'Hare. I'm sorry, but ORD is not pretty at all. The only good thing about it is the Yoga Room
! I still haven't mustered up the courage to practice anywhere, so having a nice little room to practice in was quite nice. Supposedly there's practice guides on the TV, but I didn't touch it and followed my own little vinyasa flow focusing on hip openers. Considering my next flight, ORD -> NRT (Chicago to Tokyo) is around 15.5 hours, having relaxed hips will not be a bad thing.
